Part P forms part of the Building Regulations, the principle of the Building Regulations is to ensure that consistent standards are applied to the construction of buildings including its structure, fire safety, sound insulation, drainage, ventilation and electrical safety. In short, electrical installations must be safe. A straightforward way of meeting the requirements is to use a contractor who is registered with a competent person scheme such as NICEIC
Maintence365 Electrical engineers cover the following work areas:
- Test and/or install wiring systems and equipment such as lighting, security alarms, fire alarms, smoke detectors
- Test and maintain electrical equipment
- Work to the British Standard for electrical safety (BS 7671)
- Issue electrical safety certificates to confirm that work has been designed, inspected and tested in line with the BS7671 electrical safety standard. If the work is notifiable, they will also arrange a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate to confirm compliance with Building Regulations.
